How Many People Still Play Clash Of Clans

Has the number of active players gone downwards over the years?
I take been playing disharmonism since 2013. Stopped playing around 2016 and then cam dorsum once more in 2020. I take noticed that clan conversation in near of the clans is quite empty but still the community and number of players seems strong. I don't become information technology. Interaction among players ingame seems to have gone down. Just on the other hand disharmonism has become a role of esports!

If you stopped around 2016, that was probably about the stop of the boondocks hall sniping era. There were many complaints that information technology cut downwards on the social aspect. People no longer had to stay on sniping boondocks halls to get some loot and avert beingness attacked. In addition, legends players no longer have to endure long clouds during which many would conversation. My clan chat is agile at times, not at others. I would imaging the number of active players is down from its meridian but from what Darian said in a forum post, numbers are still quite loftier. Merely supercel really knows.

Aye. I recall the clouds and the cloudchat, showing off in the global while searching for bases and chatting in association. i I left right afterwards th11 update came.
The no. of players seems enough but the interaction is then low that at times I spam my own clan with all my alts. And its the same with other clans too.
Maybe its our error also? We dont let th10 and less to enter the clan and I suppose most of the new agile players are below th10.

The number of active players has gone down, but that is not why clan chat activity has diminished in total active clans. The reasons for less chat is that:
-
There'due south just a lot more to do in clash of clans these days; the game is a lot more about doing and a lot less about waiting which means people don't need to chat as much to laissez passer the time
-
The abundance of slick 3rd party tools for clans to adopt (similar Discord) ways a lot of that chat has migrated from in-game and over into a separate tool where you don't have to worry near getting reported and banned for pissing off the self-appointed conversation cops in your clan.
-
The increasingly oppressive chat censoring in-game has made association chat completely useless for a lot of clans and they've been forced to move their conversation to other apps (meet higher up).

i concord with this and personally the game is less virtually being social without global. there isn't someone constantly online to talk to at any given moment so i play and so leave.

Aye. The reduction in training time is some other factor. We used to chat while waiting for them golems and pekkas to train.
My clan members aren't tech savvy at all. I made a discord server. They joined. So silence! Well-nigh of my clan members don't fifty-fifty know reddit exists. They just know Youtube 🌝🌚

Possibly the numbers are down a trivial, but the game is withal exciting & strong! I'm playing it since 2014.

They have dropped for sure but they are still huge numbers of players actively playing. Around 1m agile users at any give time.

Peradventure its just kids in my country who have stopped playing. switching to pubg mobile. The merely good thing about now is that there is no random kid in my clan with heroes down, request me why I didnt take him in war.
level 1
I think so. Either that or people from other countries started playing more than than people in mine so I tin't communicate with them.
level 2
Yep i do recall that's what happened with me as well 😅

This story goes for any given game. One-time players retire , new players come. I ,for one, quitted coc in 2017 and came back 2 months agone.
level 2
2017 seems like the nexus event. Nigh of us quit around that time specially those who started back in 12 or xiii.
level 1
I quit in 2017 came back in 2020. Steadily progressing at lv 190 and rebuilding my clan. I have around 5-10 active people effectually dejeuner time and night time. It's really nice seeing my clan thrive from whatever it used to be. I miss global chat every bit well
level 2
Thats nifty. I left every bit a maxed th10 now I am mid th13. My clan has lost lots of erstwhile players. Its simply me and few guys with our alts and minis bringing the total to 45. We used to have a whatsapp group for the clan.. and now its empty. But some people on this sub have discord for clash! It has something to exercise with location i guess 😅
level ane
The other reason for decline in chat is many active players play multiple accounts. Our clan might have 40 accounts, but they are controlled by ten people.
level 2
Sounds like y'all are describing my clan.
level 1
I've quit coc in 2016 and started a new account in belatedly 2019. Currently max th11 going to th12.

i think that the removal of global chat made you call back that and the numbers are probably lower it'southward withal pretty solid i recall
